A10 THUNDERBOLT II - Texturing
Hi guys this is my last texturing job. I made the texturing for an airplane called "A10 Thunderbolt" that , as the previous one, has been used as Addons for the game "Microsoft Flight Simulator". This time I am responsible of the the entire texturing pipeline from the UV Layout to the Texturing part.
This time I would raise the bar of the texturing because I needed to realize a believable sense of worn and heavy dirtiness.
I started the project first all working with the height map, drawing all the lines and rivets to make the plates that compose the airplane realistic. This time I realised different type of rivets and i try to give different sens of height to the various airplane plate to obtain a senso of more realistic.
After that i put the different levels of colours to give to the carena a sense of consumed and used, so I worked on the roughness map adding some basic roughness and some roughness variations, to enfatize the difference from the side part to the centre part of some plates.
To complete the work I putted different levels of dirt following some references.
I exported all the diffuse maps in 2 levels, one without the dirt and one with only the dirtness; in this way with Photoshop It has been possible to add the sticker details and of the different livrees.
Rendering and Lighting have been done with Maya and Arnold.
